Bangkok Airways, Asian Partner To The Long-Haul Low-Cost Carrier Eurowings

Passengers of the future Cologne/Bonn- Bangkok flight from Lufthansa newly established long-haul budget carrier Eurowings will be able to fly further within Southeast Asia thanks to an interline agreement concluded with Bangkok Airways. Thailand regional carrier will propose seamless connections to Samui Island, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Udon Thani in Thailand; to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia.

It is the first time that Bangkok Airways signs an interline agreement with a low cost style carrier. Eurowings is Luthansa new long-haul budget affiliate offering point-to-point connections. Eurowings will offer from December 18 two non-stop weekly flights in an Airbus A330-200 from Cologne/Bonn to Phuket; On December 20, the carrier will launch two weekly services to Bangkok, the first time that Thailand capital will be connected to the Rhine metropolis. 

Eurowings will offer a three class service according to fare. The basic fare will give access to the Basic Seat product (76 cm legroom/10 cm seat’s recline for 234 seats); flexible fares will give access to the Smart Eurowings Seat (84 cm legroom/15 cm recline for 46 seats) while a premium product call “Best Eurowings” will provide a premium economy seat with foot rest and a 114 cm legroom. Best fare will also provide fast track at airports and access to a lounge.
