Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office is launching customised online magazines under its website MekongTourism.org. MTCO has launched over 10 e-magazines that are optimised for mobile devices and are based from travellers and professionals experience. Texts and pictures can now be post directly from the readers who wish to share their experiences.Ten themes have been selected:
-Active Mekong (sports)
-Celebrate Mekong (festivals and events)
-Chill Mekong (relaxing holidays)
-Experience Mekong (sightseeing and tourism)
-Responsible Mekong (community and sustainability)
-Taste Mekong (gastronomy)
The magazines are powered by Flipboard.com (or by downloading the Flipboard app on Apple or Android) and follow @TourismMekong – and are regularly updated. Whatever readers passions when it comes to the Mekong Region, from Cruising to Heritage, as well as new additions to our e-library, and travel trade news – it is all there.
In addition to developing an innovative new social media hub and e-magazines, MTCO has activated accounts on various social media platforms under the universal handle @TourismMekong to engage with stakeholders and disseminate content. They can be followed by looking at MTCO website and will also be regularly referred and highlighted in ASEAN.travel.
