Vietjet announces its newest domestic routes from the northern port city of Haiphong to Phu Quoc Island, Dalat and Buon Me Thuot, which will be launched in May and June, 2016. Haiphong is the third largest city of Vietnam and the 2nd largest industrial city, and Hai Phong owns the biggest post in north of Vietnam.
Vietjet already offers flights from the Northern city to Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Nha Trang and Pleiku. The new routes almost double the offer out of Haiphong which will now be linked to seven cities within Vietnam. Haiphong is so far not an international airport although the potential for international connection certainly exists.
The new destinations offer visitors the opportunity to explore the famous tropical island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island situated in the South. Snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing can all be enjoyed here, whilst the opportunity of relaxing on pristine white sand is also a firm favorite amongst beachgoers.
Whilst those traveling to Dalat can escape the heat in this former colonial resort. Filled with French colonial style buildings that are surrounded by lush vegetation growing exotic fruits and flowers, it provides the perfect respite away from the main cities. Finally, for those who want to get off the beaten track and glimpse the real Vietnam, a trip to Buon Me Thuot in the highland province of Dak Lak, will provide visitors a launch pad into the provinces’ landscape of lakes, waterfalls, rich forests and ethnic minorities.
