Vietnam low-cost airline Jetstar Pacific has announced the addition of four routes linking Vietnam to Northeast Asia with 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. The expansion will especially help offering more seats to and from China PRC.

The first route to be flown by Jetstar Pacific will link from November 18 Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong. The airline will fly up to four weekly flights and could rapidly be upgraded into a daily frequency if the route attracts enough passengers. Ho Chi Minh City will also be linked to Guangzhou with five weekly frequencies from December 2.
In parallel, Jetstar Pacific will launch a daily frequency from Hanoi to Guangzhou. The first flight will be launched on December 1. The carrier also launched regular charter services from Hanoi to Guiyang every Monday and Friday.

The carrier will  also offer three weekly flights linking Da Nang in Central Vietnam and Taipei, starting December 2. The carrier will be the only one serving Taiwan out of Vietnam’s third largest city.

As part of Jetstar’s network expansion plan, the new international routes aim to meet growing demand for air travel between Vietnam and Northeast Asian countries.According to a report by Vietnam’s National Administration of Tourism, Chinese visitors to Vietnam in the first nine months of 2016 totalled 1.98 million, an increase of 58% year-on-year.

In June, Jetstar also launched two new domestic routes from Hanoi to Chu Lai and Quy Nhon operating three weekly flights.
