Hyatt Strengthens Further its Presence in Thailand

After the recent opening of the luxurious Park Hyatt, the American hotel company looks now to add two new properties: the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit and Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit. Hyatt Regency will have 300 rooms and suites and over 1,000 sq m of meeting and event space, along with two restaurants, a bar and spa and fitness centre.

Hyatt Place will have 220 rooms and seven studio suites. The hotel will feature a Cozy Corner sectional sofa-sleeper, separate workspace, the Hyatt Grand Bed, 42 inch flat-panel HDTV and the Hyatt Plug Panel media center. Guests will also enjoy a sky pool, fitness center, a multi-cuisine restaurant and bar and dedicated meeting facilities.

Originally planned for 2017, the hotels will likely open by year end or by early 2018.

Hyatt is actually pushing for the development of its two brands Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, which are mostly targeting millenia travellers. In Asia-Pacific, Hyatt already signed over 30 executed contracts for both brands.  Beside Bangkok, future locations for Hyatt House and Hyatt Place include Beijing, Foshan, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Wuxi, China; Jakarta, Indonesia; Tokyo Bay, Japan; Kuala Lumpur and Malacca City, Malaysia; New Taipei City, Taiwan.

In Thailand, the first Hyatt Place opened in 2016 in Phuket, along Patong Beach. The 161-room property is strategically located in the heart of Phuket on the hills of Patong beach, just few hundred meters from the beach and few minutes to shopping and entertainment nightlife venues.
