Dream Hotel Group has signed its first hotel in the Philippines. When it opens, the 220-guestroom Dream Hotel will be on the beaches of Carabao Island five km north of Boracay and 11 km from the island’s international airport.
Dream Carabao Island will be part of an integrated gaming and adventure resort destination spanning more than one million square feet and will have 220 guestrooms and suites, including 100 villas. The property will be the seventh hotel to join Dream Hotel Group’s expanding Asian network. Francis Aguilar, developer and chairman of SkyCity Leisure Resorts said: “We are very pleased to announce Dream Hotel Group as the centerpiece of Carabao Island, the newest extension of Greater Boracay in the Philippines.”
Recently rated third best island destination in the world by Condé Nast Traveler magazine, Boracay gets more than three million visitors annually, including local holiday makers and international visitors from Europe and North Asia.
The company is also expanding in Vietnam and is already present in Thailand. In Vietnam, projects include Dream Oceanami Villas & Spa in Long Hai Beach in Vung Tau (Southern Vietnam) as well as a future property at Cocobay in Danang.
In Thailand, the company has two properties: Dream Hotel Bangkok on Sukhumvit (168 guest rooms and 26 suites) and Dream Hotel Phuket. The latter has 172 guest rooms, suites and villas and is located conveniently near to the Laguna area and only 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport.
