A partnership has been concluded on Thursday with Indonesian CT Corp and French hospitality group AccorHotels. CT Corp is a rapidly growing, diversified Indonesian-based holding company that is active in several industries. The group is divided into three main business holding operations concentrating in Financial Services, Media, Lifestyle & Entertainment, and Natural Resources. Both partners are looking at building together 30 hotels in Indonesia.
The signing of strategic partnership was held at Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta. CEO of CT Corp, Chairal Tanjung and COO AccorHotels for Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore Garth Simmons signed the MoU in presence of senior VIPs of both companies. “We agreed to strategic partnership, we will open 30 new hotels,” said Chairal Tanjung.
According to Chairal, CT Corp wants to boost its tourism porfolio due the government’s commitment to boost the number of tourists supported by the development of infrastructure and the continuous improvement in living standards in the region which stimulates travel consumption.
“We see no other better hotel chains as AccorHotels as it is known as a renowned hotel group and CT Corp. is known as a lifetyle company, “added Chairal.
According to AccorHotels Garth Simmons, the 30 hotels to be built will boost Accor presence by 6,000 rooms. The future properties will be built all over the archipelago. “We are extremely optimistic over the tourism evolution in the years to come, and particularly in 2018”, declared Garth Simmons. “The economy is growing steadily and the domestic market is stable”. the group is planning to manage 200 properties in Indonesia by 2020.
