Tourism Authority of Thailand Governor Yutthasak Supasorn accompanied by Pakorn Pattanapat, Senior Executive Vice President of Operations of Central Pattana as well as many celebrities were all present on Monday evening to launch the official “Light Up Christmas Tree Celebrations” for the Christmas season. While in 2016, all Christmas celebrations were tone down due to the recent passing of late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, this year, Bangkok is again turning into a sea of lights with decorations, giant Christmas trees as well as sculptures of Christmas figures. The entire Ratchaprasong area, from Siam Discovery to Central World is turning again into a major attraction for locals and tourists.

According to Pakorn Pattanapat, “the Christmas tree lighting up at CentraWorld is one of the best-known signature events on the world, held every year.

CentralWorld’s unique decoration theme becomes the talk of town and this year, we will hold the ‘Light Up Christmas Tree Celebration’ event for our beautifully decorated trees standing in front of CentralWorld as a symbol of the beginning of the festive season at the end of the year and to welcome in the New Year”. Illuminations will be visible until January 7, 2018.

Parade of Angels with music will everyday entertain visitors to Central World, particularly with shows being hosted from 21 to 26 November three times in the evening.

Siam Paragon will launch its official Christmas Celebration with an exhibition about Harry Potter, starting from December 16 until early March. Fans of the movie and visitors will be able to walk into the world of the famous wizard while enjoying the wintery atmosphere of Hogsmeade Village.

At EM Quartier, besides lighting of the shopping mall and a giant bear and its smaller companions greeting visitors, it will be more commercial with a year-end campaign that sees The Emporium and Emquartier joining hands with business partners, leading brands, creative groups and a renowned film director to share the beauty of relationship and the importance of meaningful little moments with all shoppers. The event reaffirms the image of The Emporium as “Curator of Tastes” giving an unusual experience for the new generation of shoppers until January 7, 2018.
