Thai Lion air continues to expand internationally with more services to China but also a double daily flight to Jakarta out of Bangkok Don Mueang.
Traffic surge between Thailand and Indonesia pushes Thai Lion Air to add new frequencies between both countries. From the end of April, the low cost carrier is launching a second daily flight linking Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport to Jakarta CGK.
From April 23, 2018, the airline will introduce a new morning departure from Bangkok operated by a Boeing 737-900ER aircraft. The carrier will switch to a brand new Boeing 737 MAX 9 from June 1st, 2018.

From Bangkok Don Muang, flights depart at 09:00 am (arrival 12:30 in Jakarta) and at 07:05 pm (arrival at 10:35 pm in Jakarta).
Out of Jakarta, the timetable is as follows:
Departure from Jakarta at 06:30 am (arrival in Bangkok at 09:55 am) and at 01:10 pm (arrival in Bangkok at 5:00 pm).
The carrier continues to expand its international network, particularly to China. Thai Lion Air recently converted charter flights into regular scheduled services from Bangkok to Ningbo and from Phuket to Hangzhou, Hefei and Tianjing. Frequencies vary between 3 and 4 weekly services. The carrier inaugurated as well a daily flight to Wuhan.
The airline is also strenghtening its network out of U-Tapao/Pattaya International Airport. Thai Lion Air launched at the end of March a six-weekly service linking U-Tapao to Chiang Mai. It also launched in April a daily flight to Tianjin and will start on May 1st, a four-weekly service to Haikou.
