Bangkok Airways : Preparing its comeback to Vietnam?

Bangkok Airways recently signed a partnership with Amadeus to use the GDS’s flagship product ‘Amadeus Altea Suite’.

Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth – President and Amadeus, represented by Mr. Cyril Tetaz – Executive Vice president, Airlines, Asia Pacific, organized a signing ceremony to announce the partnership between the two companies at Bangkok Airways headquarters.

Following the signature of the agreement, Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth – President of Bangkok Airways highlighted, “Being Asia’s leading boutique airline, we need to continuously innovate and enhance ourselves with innovation and technologies that will help us improve our operation and management in a very competitive fast growing aviation industry. We believe that with Amadeus Altea Suite, putting the traveller’s experience at the heart of everything we do, will help drive our expansion plans and will bring success for many years to come.”

In another development, the airline announced in early September to remove two new routes it had planned to serve from the start of the coming winter season at the end of October. The airline had filed to start a service between Phuket and Yangon, planned to start from November 17 with three weekly services as well as a route between Bangkok and Cam Ranh/Nha Trang due to be served by four weekly services from January 25, 2019. However, it recently added a fifth weekly frequency between Bangkok and Phu Quoc island in Southern Vietnam.
