Encouraging number of registered buyers and exhibitors will guarantee an exciting ASEAN Travel Forum 2019 in Halong city, a few kilometer away from the UNESCO listed famed bay, announced organizer TTG. The ATF remains indeed the largest travel trade show specialized in the promotion of Southeast Asia.

TTG Events, secretariat of the 2019 TRAVEX component, announced a couple of weeks healthy participation rates across the board. “TTG’s impressive track record as the longest-running secretariat for ATF has seen renewed confidence in NTOs, organisations, and brands looking forward to be a part of ATF Vietnam 2019. At the end of October, we already received over 600 buyer applications worldwide and are close to hosting some 100 media partners,” cited TTG Asia Media Managing Director, Darren Ng.

The host committee Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and TTG Events  twill fully host bona-fide buyers and media after strict validation. The total of hosted people is to reach 400 buyers and 100 media
representatives. But the province of Quang Ninh -where Halong City is located- is looking at welcoming for the coming ATF some 1,5oo delegates.

More than 500 exhibiting organisations and brands from the 10 ASEAN States – Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam – are expected to fill 2 levels of exhibition space in the brand new convention and exhibition centre, QNEPEC.  At the end of October, the two most represented countries were Thailand and Vietnam with respectively over 60 and 50 companies followed by over 30 companies from Indonesia and the Philippines. But numbers will continue to fluctuate until the end of the year.

The hosting of the ATF in Halong City is also an opportunity to position the area as a perfect venue for MICE activities, helping to diversify the tourism product in Quang Ninh province. The opening of a highway from Hanoi to Halong- which cuts travel time from the Vietnamese capital to just an horu and a half from four hours, the opening of a brand new international airport in Van Dong – low cost carrier Vietjet already announced to look at launching an entire range of regional and domestic destinations during 2019- as well as a range of international hotel chains -such as AccorHotels with Novotel, Condotel and Wyndham.

Delegates can also look forward to experiencing the famous UNESCO world heritage site, Halong Bay, during preshow tours as well as other gems of the province during the post-show tours hosted by VNAT.
