Bangkok highest tower, the King Power Mahanakhon, is offering discounts to visitors, new attractions and a special Valentine package. The right time to enjoy Bangkok from the top.
At 314 meter over ground, King Power Mahanakhon Tower is not the highest in the world but at least, the highest in Bangkok. “We offer the highest viewpoint in Bangkok and have the highest rooftop bar in town,” says proudly advertising leaflets over the structure.
Since fully opened to the public last year, the tower has been attracting thousands of tourists to visit although there has been a slowdown since February, mostly due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, they are still many travellers coming there – Thai domestic tourists but also Korean, Japanese or European visitors- particularly Russians.
King Power management improved a lot the activities provided inside the tower beside the 360-degree panoramic view and the skywalk with its transparent floor giving an impression of floating in the air for the ones fearless of vertigo!
The Tower offers also an interactive augmented reality experience through QR code on the 74th floor providing many historical and cultural details over Bangkok city. On the first floor, a new attraction -the Mahanakhon Skyride take visitors into an immersive flight over a desert, Bangkok, mountains and the moon- its newest program. Last but not least, it is impossible to be in a King Power property without visiting a duty free shop. A giant DFS stretching on three floors expects visitors.
The stylish Skybar is the signature restaurant of the tower, offering a cosy comfortable décor, created by the famous French designer Tristan Auer. It is also ideal for private meeting and events. The best tip is to go for lunch time. With prices matching a single entrance to the tower, it offers the same sweeping views of Bangkok while enjoying the tasty Thai-western dishes cooked by Executive Chef Joshua Cameron.
The Skybar will offer on Valentine’s Day a special 3-course dinner for 3,900 THB per couple while special activities are organised inside the King Power Maha Nakhon Tower under the theme “Love at First Height”. Couples can enjoy photo moments against colourful romance-inspired balloon and LED light decorations on the 74th floor indoor observation deck. But not only! The “Love at first height” package includes entry for 2 adults, a limited-edition photo album and keychain souvenir, a postcard—to be sent from Bangkok’s highest postbox on the 74th floor, two mocktails and a traditional Thai snack on the 78th floor rooftop for the price of THB 2,200 per couple during 8-16 February 2020. The iconic attraction is open daily from 10am to midnight.
Another good news is that King Power Management recently lowered the entrance fee for visitors. An adult will now only pay THB880 (US$29) -representing an almost 40% reduction of the price, while a junior will only pay THB250. There is even a further price reduction of 5% for anybody booking an adult ticket online until the end of March.
